Directions from Asheville, NC

105 Miles
Travel time approximately 2 hours

  1. Begin I-40 West
  2. Continue on I-40 to Exit 27.
  3. Take Exit 27. This exit is easy to miss. Exit sign reads "Franklin, Murphy, Atlanta."
  4. Proceed on US 74 West, by-passing the towns of Waynesville, Cherokee, Sylva and Bryson City. The four lane then becomes two lane US 19/74 West as you approach the Nantahala Gorge. You will travel about 15 miles before entering Cherokee County at Topton. A few miles later the road widens to four lane, just East of Andrews.
  5. Once you enter Cherokee County continue on US 19/74 West for 15 miles. Go past Wal-Mart and Ingles on the left and continue approximately 1.5 mile to a stoplight with sign pointing to "Murphy" to the right.
  6. Turn right onto Peachtree Street.
  7. Peachtree Street takes you into downtown Murphy (curving around to the left).  At the next stoplight (4-way stoplight), go straight through, continuing on Tennessee Street (Peachtree St. essentially turn into Tennessee St.).
  8. Follow Tennessee Street approximately 1/2 mile over a bridge and look for the red roof on your right.  This is the roof of our dining commons.
  9. Take your next right onto Conaheeta Street.
  10. Look for our sign on the right and park in the front parking lot.  There are signs pointing you to our front office.

Directions from Atlanta, GA

125 Miles
Travel time approximately 2 hours

  1. Begin on I-75 North
  2. Exit I-575 North just north of Marietta.
  3. I-575 becomes Highway 515
  4. Continue on Highway 515 by-passing the towns of Jasper, Ellijay and Blue Ridge.
  5. Continue 4 miles North of Blue Ridge.
  6. Turn Left on Highway 60 and travel approximately 2 miles on this two lane road.
  7. Turn Right onto Spur 60. This two lane road leads you into Cherokee County where it becomes a four lane road which will intersect with US 64/74.
  8. Turn Right on US 64/74. Continue for 5 miles to the city limits of Murphy.
  9. Look for McDonalds on your left.
  10. Turn left at McDonald's onto Hiawassee Street.
  11. Go over a bridge (approx. 1/2 mile) and stay in the left lane.
  12. At the next stoplight (4-way, in downtown Murphy) go left onto Tennessee Street.
  13. Follow Tennessee Street approximately 1/2 mile over a bridge and look for the red roof on your right.  This is the roof of our dining commons.
  14. Take your next right onto Conaheeta Street.
  15. Look for our sign on the right and park in the front parking lot.  There are signs pointing you to our front office.
     

Directions from Chattanooga, TN

85 Miles
Travel time approximately 2 hours

  1. Begin on I-75 North
  2. Exit onto US 64 Bypass.
  3. Continue on US 64 Bypass to US 64 East. This road becomes two lane for a time while it meanders through the Ocoee Gorge. After approximately 20 miles it widens to four-lane again. Crossing the North Carolina state line, you have entered Cherokee County and the road becomes US 64/74. Continue approximately 20 miles to Murphy.
  4. Look for McDonalds on your left.
  5. Turn left at McDonald's onto Hiawassee Street.
  6. Go over a bridge (about 1/2 mile) and stay in the left lane.
  7. At the next stoplight (4-way, in downtown Murphy) go left onto Tennessee Street.
  8. Follow Tennessee Street approximately 1/2 mile over a bridge and look for the red roof on your right.  This is the roof of our dining commons.
  9. Take your next right onto Conaheeta Street.

109 miles
Approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes

  1. Start out going Northwest on US 441
  2. Turn left onto US-11 South (US-70 W, TN-1 S, Cumberland Ave. SW)
  3. Continue onto US-11 (US-70, TN-1, Kingston Pike)
  4. Bear left on ramp to US-129 S (TN-73 S, TN-115 S, Alcoa Highway)
  5. Continue onto US-129 S
  6. Bear Left onto US 129
  7. Continue on 129 (it will become US 64 W) until you reach Murphy, NC.
  8. Look for McDonalds on your left.
  9. Turn left at McDonald's onto Hiawassee Street.
  10. Go over a bridge (about 1/2 mile) and stay in the left lane.
  11. At the next stoplight (4-way, in downtown Murphy) go left onto Tennessee Street.
