GIRLS ON THE RUN and HEART & SOLE
Recognizing the incredible benefit of this national program to our young women, we implemented the Girls on the Run program at TLC! during the 2012 school year. In the years since, we have seen this powerful program build the confidence, self-image, and physical health of many of our girls.
The 10 week program, held twice weekly from September and October, culminates in a regional 5K buddy run event in Asheville, where girls from our school get to meet girls from GOTR and Heart & Sole programs all over our WNC region. This inspiring event is always a huge hit with parents, teachers, and students.
We are proud to partner with this empowering, uplifting organization to bring a fun, fit, and unifying program to our young ladies.
