The Learning Center Charter School2nd Grade STEM — All About Sound
Second graders have started a unit study of sound in science class. They are working on a project where aliens have hired them to present how humans communicate with sound. Students will create a musical instrument that plays at least three notes. They will also have to think of other ways humans use sound and “present” those to the aliens as well.
Ms. Emily says that second graders LOVE aliens and if they happen to learn about the science of sound, hearing and voice along the way, they might not even notice all the hard work they have done!
