4th, 5th & 6th Grade Science - Dissolving Halloween Candy

Ms. Jay teaches 4th, 5th, and 6th grade science and she knows that in the month of October, students are especially fond of candy. She decided to have her students perform science experiments on classic Halloween candies!

Students tested candy pumpkins to see which of the various liquids dissolved the candy the fastest. Students wrote their hypothesis and rotated between stations to observe the changes taking place. Students then recorded their results after 30 minutes.

Engaging students with topics that they are already interested in is where learning magic happens!
