The Learning Center Charter School4th Grade Visits a Gem Mine
The fourth grade class had been studying rocks and minerals in science class and concluded their studies with a trip to the Cowee Mountain Ruby Mine in Franklin, NC. It was a beautiful and sunny October day — perfect for getting hands in the dirt and bringing a text book to life. That is what field work is all about!
