6th Grade - Soil & Water Studies

Sheri Goodlet, an educator for the Cherokee County Soil and Water Conservation District, visited fourth through sixth grade students to teach them about best management practices for soil and water.

Her presentation was about conservation concerning shared land in Cherokee County, NC. The Cherokee County District also sponsors students for the RCW (Resource Conservation Workshop), the State Poster and Essay contest, several state scholarships, and the Envirothon team competition.
