Honoring 9/11 with 3rd Annual TLC Day of Service

On September 11, 2013 TLC students and staff fanned out across our community to “pay it forward” with service work as a means to honor the victims of the terror attacks from that fateful day twelve years ago.

Groups of students were dispatched across our community. Some were sent by land and boat to clean up the water ways and shores in a precursor event to Cherokee County’s Big Sweep.

Most classes walked across the community picking up trash and debris while the youngest students worked at beautifying The Learning Center! campus.

This day not only honored those who gave all on September 11th, but helped develop the character of our students and instill an appreciation for community service.
