
Science, History, Agriculture – 7th Grade Field Work – Pig Dissection

On February 11, 2015, students in seventh grade traveled to a local farm to watch and be a part of a butchering of a pig. In addition to furthering their science studies of anatomy, the students also received a valuable education on sustainable farming, food safety, where food at the grocery store comes from, local culture, community, respect, death, and life. Much learning comes from doing.
