The local Archibald D. Murphey Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution recently honored one of our students for winning their THE AMERICAN HISTORY ESSAY CONTEST. She was honored at a tea on February 19, 2014 at the Murphy Public Library. The District DAR leader was present to award her with a silver medal and fifty dollar gift. Her teacher, Ms. Danielle Wright, was presented with a twenty dollar gift. Her essay will now go on to compete at the state level. Congratulations!
